Scott Kupor is Managing Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a $10 billion venture capital firm. Scott was employee #1 at the firm and has managed all facets of the firm’s growth over its nearly 10-year history.
Scott is recognized as an expert on the venture capital industry and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He has appeared on CNBC, CNN and Bloomberg and been quoted in or written guest columns in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, The New York Times, The Financial Times, Fortune and Bloomberg. Scott has also testified about venture capital policy in front of Congressional and SEC committees. Scott is also the author of Secrets of Sand Hill Road(Penguin Randomhouse, June 2019).
Scott previously worked as vice president and general manager, Global Customer Support & Software-as-a-Service at Hewlett Packard. Scott joined HP in 2007 as part of the $1.6 billion acquisition of Opsware (previously Loudcloud), where he was senior vice president of Customer Solutions. Scott joined Opsware shortly after the company’s founding and held numerous executive management positions including vice president, financial planning and vice president, corporate development.
Prior to Opsware, Scott represented software companies in both financing and mergers and acquisitions transactions at Credit Suisse First Boston and Lehman Brothers.
